We're holding a quiz night to raise funds for Tearfund.
Whangaparaoa Methodist Parish are one of the many churches around New Zealand taking part in Tearfund’s Big Quiz Night on 9 September 2023. It will be a night of fun, laughter, and competition all the raise funds for a good cause.
Our target is to raise $350 / $600 / $800 / $1200 to support Tearfund’s work, which will go toward projects like:
- Helping provide blankets and food for Syrian refugee families over the coming winter.
- Provide crucial psycho-social counselling and education sessions to child trafficking survivors in Cambodia.
- Helping 20 Ethiopian women to be food secure and learn sustainable farming techniques through Self Help Groups.
- Supporting survivors of trafficking in Thailand with rehabilitation and assisting in the prosecution of offenders.
