Heading up the valleyThe road follows the river, snaking its way through the mountains. We stayed the night at the beautiful hill town of Loi Mwe, enjoying the cooler temperatures and the lake with the crooked bridge.
Leaving Keng TungFinally we're on our way. KT has been an interesting place to spend a few days, lakes and pagodas, quite chilled out. But now the home comforts might have to wait for a while as we head south into the hill villages. All going well we should make the Thai border in just over a week.
We're in the Golden Triangle, fundraising for Tearfund
Janice, Colleen and I'm taking up the Tearfund Poverty Cycle challenge to help combat human trafficking and exploitation. We're walking and biking from Keng Tung in Myanmar to Chiang Rai in Thailand. This is the main route for trafficking Burmese girls into the Thai sex industry.
We want to raise money to help those trapped by this horrible practice, and also for prevention.
