About Tearfund
Motivated by Jesus, we encourage Kiwis to act for justice to relieve poverty among the world's most vulnerable people.
Tearfund believes in strength through partnerships. You won’t find us setting up shop in partner countries, with expensive offices and expat staff. instead, we identify hard-working, local community organisations who are experts in their field of development and partner with them.
Through these partners, we work across five causes to help those most in need. We Nourish communities with life’s essentials. We Protect the vulnerable from exploitation. We Restore hope and peace after disaster strikes. We Sponsor children in need, and we Empower the poor to help themselves. This approach empowers vulnerable communities around the world to find local, sustainable, solutions to poverty.
